Imagine what goes on inside the boardroom of the soul that is spending more and more time considering the wish list and how to fund it.
Almost every time the Board meets, something else is added to the list. Heart and Imagination keep coming across new ideas in the media, and Will has added a few items as well. After all, he is working hard on the fundraising, so why shouldn’t he? Even Memory has added some things to the list that he never had when he was young.
Will looks increasingly anxious at board meetings. He is throwing all his strength into raising the money to fund the list, but as it gets longer, his task gets harder. Will has been hoping that a promotion at work might relieve his burden, but it hasn’t come. And Mind is becoming more and more anxious about what is happening to the money.
Every time the Board meets, they check off another item on the wish list. At the beginning, this filled Heart with joy, but over time the other members of the Board noticed that Heart seemed to find less pleasure in completing the list. The list is beginning to master the whole soul.
