For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

Instead of showing Himself to the world, Jesus fulfilled the will of the Father and went to the cross for you and for all mankind.

Aren’t you glad today that Jesus did not take His brothers’ advice? Instead, He took on Himself the sin of our jealousy and selfish ambition, and He bore these sins in His body on the cross.

Jesus did not come into the world because He wants to condemn you. He came to give His life so that you might find life in His name. This Jesus, who was crucified and is risen, reaches out to you in love.

He invites you to trade in a life of showing yourself to the world, with all the bitter jealousy and selfish ambition that it brings. He gave Himself in love so that you would not spend the rest of your life locked up in bitter jealousy and selfish ambition. He gave Himself so that you too would be able to give yourself in love: “He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised” (2 Cor. 5:15).

Stop trying to tell Jesus what He should be doing. Trade in your life of trying to show yourself to the world and give yourself to Him as your Lord and Savior. Become His servant and you will discover the peace and joy that He gives to all who truly live for Him.

How do you respond to Jesus’ love and invitation?
