Isaiah 53 is telling us what we need to know to make a right evaluation of Jesus. There is treasure in the Lord Jesus Christ, and this treasure can be yours.
Jesus offers to forgive your sins, save you from eternal judgment, and reconcile you to God.
He was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace… [And He will] make many to be accounted righteous. (Isaiah 53:5, 11)
Jesus can bring you into the family of God.
He shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (53:10)
Jesus will gather a great family of offspring from all nations. These people will live forever as Jesus lives forever. And He wants you to be one of them.
Jesus offers you a share in His triumph.
He shall divide the spoil…. (53:12)
There is treasure in the Lord Jesus Christ. And when you know the treasure that is hidden in Jesus, you won’t hide from Him. You won’t reject Him either. Your heart will be changed, and faith will be formed in you.
