Jesus Christ has redeemed people from every corner of this planet, drawn from every generation of history. The apostle John tells us that no one could possibly count them all. Imagine receiving a letter one day, inviting you to speak at a prestigious conference in your area of expertise the following month. The letter sounds impressive, so you decide that it is too good of an opportunity to pass up. You rush home from work every evening to prepare your message. Then, on the morning of the conference, you drive hundreds of miles, and when you finally arrive, you discover that there are a grand total of five people in attendance!
We’ve all been at disappointing events when only a few people showed up. We say, “Is that it?” No one will be saying, “Is that it?” in the presence of Jesus. This will be larger than any gathering you have ever seen or imagined, and every person there will have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
What is the largest in-person gathering you have ever been to?
