- What does it tell you about God that He wants to give these 5 gifts to us?
- Are there any of these 5 gifts that you don’t think are yours? Why?
- Which of these 5 gifts brings you the greatest joy? Why?
Questions to Go Deeper:
- Jesus said about the coming of the Holy Spirit in John 16:7, “It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you.” How does this truth lead you to hope? Worship?
- How will life in heaven be different than life in the Garden in Eden? How is it the same? What does it look like to live in light of eternity?
Exercise:
In less than 2 minutes, summarize the Bible story from Genesis to Revelation in your own words.
Respond to this teaching in prayer:
- Praise God for His generosity and wisdom in granting so many glorious gifts to us.
- Confess your need of His Spirit to understand the Scriptures, to sanctify you, and to fill you for service to the church.
- Ask His help. Ask God for greater faith in the joys and glory of heaven, and to deepen your resolve to live with eternity in mind for the glory of God.
