How Can I Know I’m Saved? Sermons on Assurance of Salvation

“How can I be sure I’m saved?”

This is one of the most frequent—and important—questions we receive as a ministry.

Many wonder why they don’t enjoy more victory over sin or why they don’t experience the “unspeakable joy” or “peace that surpasses understanding” that Scripture describes. Others see loved ones walk away from the faith and wonder, “Am I next?”

God has graciously given us an entire book of the Bible, 1 John, to provide a settled assurance of our salvation:

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13)

According to John, we can know that we have eternal life, and in reading the rest of his epistle, we see how.

Pastor Colin Smith’s new sermon series, How Can I Be Sure?, walks through key passages in 1 John and helps us gain clarity on our salvation. Watch these sermons below.
