“Behold, I and the children God has given me.” Hebrews 2:13
The gospel story won’t be finished until one day Jesus stands in the presence of the Father and says these words.
Jesus has come to us. Now we must come to Him. The Gospels are given so that you will know this Jesus to whom you must come. The disciples came to Him in Galilee. We come to Him at the right hand of the Father. How are we to do this?
The Bible invites us to come to Jesus through repentance and faith. Repentance and faith are two sides of the same coin:
Come to Jesus in repentance
Repentance means that you recognize, “I have been living as if my life was my own; as if Jesus had never come.” It means admitting that you need to change. It means that you are ready to change. It means being ready to hand over the steering wheel of your life to Jesus Christ, to move in whatever direction He wants you to go.
Come to Jesus in faith
Faith means that you believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and that He rose from the dead. Faith means you believe His promise to forgive your sins, and to cleanse your life, and you trust Him to do that now.
Because you believe, you will ask Him to make you a real Christian. You will ask Him to change you from the inside. You will ask Him to help you overcome your fear. You will ask Him to give you the courage and strength to live a new life that will honor Him.
Jesus has come to us. That’s the good news. But Mark ends his Gospel with an invitation for you to come to Jesus.
Are you ready to come to Jesus in repentance and in faith?

Do You Need Hope This Easter Season?
Watch the powerful story of the thief on the cross today
The thief’s story of salvation is one that begins, literally, on the brink of hell. The pain this man had experienced throughout his life fueled his hate for God, so much so that he detested the man hanging there on the cross beside him. But then, for the first time, he began to fear God.
If you’ve found yourself in a similar place, there is hope. Hope because heaven is real, hope because we have a Savior, and hope because all you have to do is accept Jesus’ invitation.
