He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. – 2 Corinthians 5:15

What are you doing with the life God is giving to you? Perhaps you have thought, “Well, I’ve really messed up.”

You may think, “I have said one thing and done another. I have made commitments to the Lord, but I haven’t kept them. I have taught others, but I have not lived up to my own teaching. I have behaved like a fool. I see now that God has left me to myself. And as my heart has been exposed, I feel there is no hope for me.”

Oh yes there is! The fact that you see the need of your heart is a sure sign that God’s grace is already at work in you. He has brought you to see your need of a savior.

Now here is what you must do: You must humble yourself before God in repentance. Tell Him you are done living for yourself. Thank Him that Jesus Christ bore the wrath that was due to you, and ask Him in faith to be your Lord and your Savior.

There is hope for you in Jesus Christ, who died for your sins. “He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised” (5:15).

If you feel you’ve messed up your life, can you trust that there is hope for you in Jesus Christ?
